Does MediaMarkt ship to the UK?
MediaMarkt.nl describes delivery to addresses in the Netherlands and does not list the United Kingdom. With a Dutch address from DZH you order as a Dutch customer; we receive the parcel, check that the box is sealed and the device matches your order, and forward it to your UK address.
Can a device with a lithium battery be forwarded to the UK?
Yes if the battery is built into the device, such as a laptop, phone, camera or cordless tool shipped in its original packaging. Loose lithium batteries, spare cells and power banks are refused by the carriers, and we do not put them in a box anyway. Tick the battery under restricted goods when you register the parcel.
What do I pay in UK VAT and duty on electronics from MediaMarkt?
UK VAT is charged on the declared value from the first pound. Duty is added only when the value is above GBP 135, at a rate that depends on the type of device. The carrier collects both before delivery, usually with a handling fee. We declare the real price from your MediaMarkt invoice, so keep it in your account.
