Forwarding IKEA orders to Switzerland
Switzerland has IKEA stores and IKEA Netherlands tells Swiss customers to order there, so IKEA.nl is for the product your local store does not stock; the Dutch shop delivers within the Netherlands only. Small items are simple: textiles, kitchenware, decoration and compact flat packs come to us as parcels and leave for Switzerland with a customs declaration. Swiss customs has no value threshold, but nothing is charged when the VAT would stay below CHF 5, so a cushion cover or a set of glasses often passes without charges. Large furniture usually does not travel: carriers cap length and weight and price a bulky box on its volume. Send us the article number and we tell you beforehand.

Does IKEA.nl deliver to Switzerland?
No. IKEA Netherlands says online orders are delivered within the Netherlands only and cannot be placed for an address abroad; Swiss customers are pointed to their own IKEA stores. For something only the Dutch range has, order to your DZH address and we forward the parcel to Switzerland, customs declaration included.
What does Swiss customs charge on an IKEA parcel?
There is no value threshold: Swiss VAT is calculated on the goods plus shipping, and duty may apply by product. Nothing is charged when the VAT would stay below CHF 5, which is often the case for small purchases. The carrier collects any amount on delivery and may charge a clearance fee; we declare the price from your IKEA invoice.
Can you forward large IKEA furniture to Switzerland?
Often not. Parcel carriers set maximum lengths and weights, and a bulky flat pack is priced on its volume rather than its real weight, so a wardrobe or bed frame is frequently refused or costs more than it is worth.
