Vinted NL is a marketplace of private sellers, and Vinted's help pages do not say whether a seller in the Netherlands can offer a shipping option to the United States. With your Dutch address at DZH that question disappears: you buy like any Dutch member, the seller ships within the Netherlands, the parcel arrives with us, we photograph it so you see exactly what was sent, and we forward it to the US. Since US duty applies from the first dollar and depends on the garment and where it was made, a second-hand bargain still comes with customs paperwork; we declare the price you actually paid. Does Vinted NL ship to the USA?
Vinted's help pages say the carriers offered at checkout depend on your location, and they do not state whether there is an option from the Netherlands to the US. With a Dutch delivery address from DZH the seller simply ships within the Netherlands, and we forward the parcel to your address in the United States.
Do I pay US duty on second-hand clothes from Vinted?
Possibly, yes. Since the de-minimis suspension of August 2025, duty applies from the first dollar; the rate depends on the type of garment and the country where it was made, not on whether it is second-hand, and there is no flat rate. We declare the price you paid on Vinted and the carrier collects any duty on delivery.
What if a Vinted item is not as described?
A sale between private people comes without a shop's return policy, so solve it through Vinted's own process within the time Vinted allows. Our photos at intake show the item exactly as it arrived with us; check them before you release the shipment, so a problem surfaces while Vinted still handles it.
