Help · Customs and tax

Who pays the import charges in my country — and can you advance them?

Your country's import duties and import VAT are paid by you as the receiver, usually directly to the carrier or customs on delivery — our handling fee per parcel only covers receiving, checking and forwarding. If you prefer to have everything settled up front, a prepaid arrangement is possible by agreement: we then calculate the expected charges in advance, so nothing is left to pay on delivery. One caveat: customs only sets the final amount at import. That is why we give a realistic estimate in advance based on value and product category — no guarantees, but clarity up front.
