Forwarding HEMA orders to the United States

HEMA's customer service is clear that abroad you can only order in Belgium, Germany and France, and that delivery to other countries is not possible, so an order from the United States stops at checkout. With your Dutch address at DZH you order at hema.nl like a Dutch customer; we receive the parcel, photograph it and bundle it with other orders before shipping to the US. Since the US small-parcel exemption was suspended, duty applies from the first dollar.

Frequently asked questions
Does HEMA ship to the USA?
No. HEMA's customer service says that abroad you can only order in Belgium, Germany and France, and that delivery to other countries is not possible. Order to your Dutch address at DZH with your customer code instead, and we forward the parcel to any US address with the carrier you choose.
Do I pay US duty on a HEMA order?
Since 29 August 2025 the US no longer waives duty on small parcels, so duty can apply from the first dollar. The rate depends on each product and the country where it was made; there is no flat percentage. The carrier collects it on delivery. We declare the real purchase value and list the items on the customs form.
Can I order HEMA food or cosmetics for the USA?
Cosmetics usually travel without issues. Food items are stricter at US customs and some products are not allowed in at all, so tell us what you plan to order before you buy; we check whether the carrier accepts it. Returns to HEMA are possible through our address, but for low-value items the return shipping rarely pays off.
