Gucci on the P.C. Hooftstraat: order, have it collected and shipped abroad
The P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam is the best-known luxury shopping street in the Netherlands, and Gucci has a boutique there. Its full name is Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat, after the poet P.C. Hooft; online it is often spelled PC Hoofdstraat.
If you live abroad, that boutique is not around the corner. You can still buy there without coming yourself: you order online with collection at the boutique, and we collect and forward it. If payment fails, there is our personal shopper.
Order online, collect in Amsterdam
When checking out in Gucci's Dutch web shop, see whether collection at a boutique is available for your item, and if so choose the boutique on the P.C. Hooftstraat. You order and pay yourself, in your own name. That way the proof of purchase, the warranty and the right to return stay with you.
Once the order is ready, forward us the collection confirmation. Ask Gucci whether someone else may collect the order on your behalf and what is needed for that, such as an authorisation. Then our courier never stands at the counter for nothing.
This is our click & collect service: we collect, record everything and ship. We deliberately don't list the boutique's opening hours or exact address here; Gucci's own site has them up to date.
From boutique to front door, on record
At collection we photograph the receipt, the authenticity card and the packaging. We don't open the boutique packaging: it goes, photographed, into our sealed outer box, and you receive the photos of every layer before dispatch.
The piece travels insured and discreetly, in a neutral outer box, and every hand-over is signed for. On arrival you can compare what you get with what we received at the boutique.
Web shop refuses your card? The personal shopper
If Gucci's web shop doesn't deliver to your country, or refuses your foreign payment card, our personal shopper orders the piece for you. That happens online only: we order in the web shop, the parcel arrives at our warehouse in the Netherlands and we ship it on, insured. We do not buy in the boutique.
You paste the product link in My DZH and pay in advance: the item and our costs, which you see in the overview before you pay. If the order is above the amount we buy without consultation, we contact you first.
Frequently asked questions
Does the order have to be in my own name?
Yes. You order and pay at Gucci yourself; we only collect. That way the proof of purchase, the warranty and any return stay with you, and the boutique knows exactly who the piece is waiting for.
Do I pay import duties if I live outside the EU?
Count on it. Your country charges VAT and usually import duties on the purchase value on arrival, and since 29 August 2025 the US no longer has a duty-exempt threshold. We always declare the true value.
What if it doesn't fit?
You arrange exchanges or returns with Gucci, under their conditions and within their deadline. We can handle the transport back to the Netherlands; let us know quickly and we'll meet that deadline together.
Does the personal shopper only buy online?
Yes. Our personal shopper orders only in Gucci's web shop. If you want something from the boutique, order it online yourself with collection at the boutique; we collect it there for you.
