Stroopwafels from Amsterdam: which shops ship to your country?
You had a warm stroopwafel at the market or in a shop in central Amsterdam, and now you want more at home. Often you can, because several Amsterdam bakers run a web shop. But not every shop ships, not every web shop delivers to every country, and a waffle fresh off the iron doesn't travel.

Which Amsterdam stroopwafel shops ship abroad?
Rudi's Original Stroopwafels bakes every waffle to order at the Albert Cuyp Market and says on its own site that it doesn't ship. Van Wonderen on the Kalverstraat and Hans Egstorf, with shops across the city centre, run web shops that deliver worldwide according to their own sites. Hans Egstorf ships to the US and the UK with DHL Express, and collects US import duties at checkout.
Melly's, near Dam Square, delivers according to its web shop in the Netherlands, much of Europe, the UK and the US; for other countries it quotes rates on request. Daelmans, a brand of packaged stroopwafels, ships from its Dutch web shop to many countries but not to the US: it refers American customers to its own US web shop.

Fresh off the iron or packaged: what travels?
A warm waffle from the market is for eating on the spot; for home, choose a pack, box or tin. Even then there are differences. Van Wonderen states a shelf life of 30 days after delivery, Melly's says tins and boxes keep for weeks, and Daelmans gives an average of five to nine months for its packaged waffles.
Shop doesn't deliver to your country? Order to your DZH address
If your country isn't on the shipping list, order to your DZH address: our delivery address in the Netherlands with your personal customer code, which you request in My DZH. Register the parcel with its tracking code and tick 'Food'. We confirm receipt and forward it with a label and, outside the EU, a customs form.
If the shop does deliver to your country, ordering directly is usually simpler: one shipment, in the shop's own packaging. A stop with us takes time too: we report your parcel within one working day and ship it after your approval. Going through us pays off mainly when you combine several shops, or when a web shop refuses your foreign card; then our personal shopper orders online for you.
